We believe that a bike should fit the rider and not the other way around. We sell bikes to fit any rider and any skill level, but sometimes an out of the box solution just isn't available. Whether you're fitting yourself to a dream bike or getting your current bike dialed in just right, we have a fit option for you.
Quick Fit
FREE with any bike purchase
Included with purchase of any new bike. We want you to enjoy the benefits of a good fit with any bike you ride. When you purchase a bike from Great Northern Bicycle Company, we will provide you with our free 4-point Quick-Fit. You'll immediately notice what a difference a well-fitted bike can have on your comfort and performance.
Pre Fit
$39
Pre Fit is our 11-point bicycle fitting. We will collect your measurements, enter the data, and using our Fit Kit algorithms, we will find your ideal fit. We'll provide this data to you in a follow-up email within 48 hours of your fitting. Pre Fit is a great way to determine what size or model bike is best for you. Once you know your fit numbers, you can see how those map onto the bikes you're considering.
Comp Fit
$109
Comp Fit takes you one step beyond Pre Fit. Using the results of the Pre Fit Process (included in Comp-Fit) we will map the ideal fit onto your existing bike or onto any new bikes you purchase.
By comparing your fit data to the geometry and measurements of your new or existing bike, we can determine what adjustments to make. Such adjustments may include saddle selection, height and positioning, stem substitutions, and handlebar positioning. We will make all of these adjustments and provide you with a report that includes your ideal fit data as well as the adaptations we have made to your bicycle.
While no appointment is needed, we will keep your bike to make the adjustments. Comp Fit has a two-day standard turnaround. Some additional charges may apply if new parts are needed.
Pro Fit
$199
Pro Fit is our complete Body Geometry Fitting Service. It includes a rider interview and a 24-stop rider assessment as well as a complete measurement of your existing or new bicycle. We'll set up your bike as prescribed in your fit data and then perform a 15 point X, Y and Z fitting with you and your bike in our fit studio.
The Pro Fit assessment is very detailed and focuses on areas such as foot and ankle support, dynamics of the knee and hip joints, and rider flexibility. While most fittings address only 2-dimensional, "stick-man" geometry, the Body Geometry Pro Fit looks at the rider and bicycle as a complete dynamic system.
Pro Fit takes around 90 minutes and appointments are required. Some additional charges may apply if new parts are needed.
Pro Fit+
$299
Because a Pro Fit may require some additional parts and support items to achieve an ideal fit, Pro Fit+ takes the worry out of the costs of those additional items. Pro Fit+ covers any required fitting items such as insoles, cleat spacers, bar tape, stem swaps, cables, and any labor associated with the installation of these items. Of course, your Pro Fit may not require the addition of these items, but in the event that things get a little complicated, you can rest assured that your Pro Fit experience will not exceed the cost of our Pro Fit+.
